Safety and Training
Safety is our number one priority.
Southwest takes safety and training very seriously and invests in resources to ensure our drivers are well equipped to handle situations. From initial training to obtain a CDL permit, to fully licensed and beyond. Our current training set up is designed to alleviate barriers during the CDL process. Passing the CDL written test can be difficult and if applicants are left to do it on their own, we may be missing out of high-quality school bus drivers because of this step. Southwest Bus Service has implemented an updated CDL Training Course to assist potential drivers with passing the written test.
